In a somewhat surprising move by the festival programmers, we will have our topical political sketch screen at 3pm on Saturday, November, 23rd at Busby’s East in Los Angeles as part of the Beverly Hills Shorts Festival.
Whoever said that you can’t make something about a specific current event is dead wrong. This will be our third local screening, however most of them came closer to the events on which we are commenting. Before watching the film, I suggest that you read this article to brush up on Todd Akin’s remarks about ‘legitimate rape’.
I also created a timeline that outlines just how this short came into existence soon after the release on FunnyOrDie.
Those of you in town, we hope to see you there. Tickets are now available online for $10. There is also a free opening night party that starts at 8pm on Friday (11/22). I hope to attend both events.
We also encourage you to watch the recent political parody that we launched last month surrounding the government shutdown.
