I first posted about the short film, “Legitimate” back in August and much has occurred in the time since then! We have a Facebook page (feel free to click the “Like” button) and an impressive 93% funny rating on our FunnyOrDie page to go along with over 6,000 views.
In the non-digital realm, the four-minute short played to a sold-out crowd at the 2nd Annual Los Angeles International Underground Film Festival on December 8th, 2012. Only two of the twelve screening blocks filled all of the seats to the West Hollywood venue, so we are proud of that distinction.
If you missed that opportunity to catch “Legitimate” on a big screen, then there are two more festivals coming up!
We are set to play in Portland, Oregon on Saturday, March 30th at 7pm for the 9th Annual Faux Film Festival. We are playing in the “general satire” short film block at the Clinton Street Theater. For only $8, you can watch both our block and stay for the feature film, “The Burlesque Assassins,” afterwards!
For those of you in southern California, we are playing the 5th Annual LA Comedy Shorts Film Festival on April 5, 2013 in downtown Los Angeles. We are screening during the “Shuffle Up and Deal With It” block at 2;30pm at the Downtown Independent Theatre. You can buy tickets for $14.45 (including fees) online or for $13 at the door.
If you haven’t read my previous entry on how this short film came into existence, then please check it out.
Anybody who won’t be in Portland or Los Angeles during those periods can watch “Legitimate” online…
