After several stops on the festival circuit, Joel David Moore’s short film “Hours Before” is now available for purchase in the iTunes store. The 16-minute drama will set you back $2.99 for HD and $1.99 for SD. If there were a way to prevent people from buying it in SD, then I would do it. We shot the movie with a RED One camera and 480 lines of resolution do not do the images justice! HD or bust!
While the film’s content is not in line with the holiday cheer that surrounds us, it makes a great gift for the movie lovers on your list. Perhaps you can select it as your secret santa gift?
The film features some great performances and it has been a fun ride sharing it with audiences over the last few years. Just a side note, iTunes gave it an “R” rating, which is interesting because the MPAA doesn’t monitor short films. That being said, the film has naughty language and the subject matter of violence in schools is not for kids under 13 I’d say (but I’m not a parent).
I like the summary on the iTunes page, “A student’s psychological problems are about to tear his high school apart until his only true friend is forced to stand in the way.”
