More ‘Act Naturally’ Screenings

In  Act Naturally  /  Screenings

Just wanted to broadcast some updates regarding screenings to “Act Naturally.” Following the successful showing in New York back in March, the film is set to play twice in Maryland: at 1-2:30pm and 7-8:30pm on July 9th. The film is a part of the Maryland Area Area Naturist Association’s (MARNA) 3rd Annual Summer Camp Weekend. Tickets to the film can be purchased for $15 at the door and will be clothing optional. The festivities take place at the Ramblewood Camp (2564 Silver Road. Darlington, MD 21034) and will feature a Q&A with writer/director, JP Riley. Other weekend events include a World Record Challenge for nude hula-hooping and an attempt to break their own local skinny dipping record.

Those of you north of the border, can check out the film on June 26th in Toronto, Ontario. Thanks to our friends at Bare Oaks Family Naturist Park, the film will be showing at the Fox Theatre at 5pm and again at 7pm. Hurry up and buy your tickets to fill one of the 248 available seats. The first screening is clothing free, while the second is clothing optional. Those who attend the first showing and wish to stay for an encore may do so provided there are seats. Tickets are available in advance for $19.95 (Single adult) or $29.95 (Two adults). Children under 18 may accompany their parents for free. The Ontario Film Review Board has classified this movie as 18A – “Suitable for viewing by persons 18 years of age and older. Persons under 18 may attend but must be accompanied by an adult.”

I look forward to hearing about both screenings!

We are very close to an announcement regarding a screening in the Palm Springs area that will surely have a large turn-out from the local cast and crew. I’m very much looking forward to that evening!

Is there any chance we’ll get some more promotional info that goes into the movie in more detail (like a full trailer) sometime soon? Something more substantial than the teaser would be great to see.

Matt, I hear you. We are working on a trailer, but I will say this: they are VERY hard to do well (there are companies that only edit trailers). I spent a month cutting a trailer for my film, “Who Shot Mamba?” and after countless hours, we ended up abandoning it. If it isn’t going to make more people see the film, then don’t put it out there. We hope to have something to share soon, but we aren’t going to rush and throw something unsatisfactory out into the world.

Thanks for your interest in the film!

I heard about this movie from a friend of mine that works at the dutch naturist organization. Although there are several screenings in the US, i haven’t found any in Europe. Is there a possibility that that will happen? Or is there a dvd coming out so that we here in the Netherlands can see this movie as well?
