Dustin has earned a reputation for his bold compositions and expressive lighting while crafting short films, music videos, and commercials. Based in Los Angeles, Dustin arrives to set with a meticulous eye for detail and a passion for filmmaking. With five features under his belt, long form narrative is his forum of choice. The challenges of independent film keeps him on his toes and the creative solutions that must be made on the fly are what keeps him sharp and excited to come back to work.

Aside from his dedication to cinema, he is an outdoor enthusiast, avid environmentalist, and cyclist. Directly after graduating from Northwestern University in 2004, Dustin rushed to Los Angeles to work his way up the ranks in the camera department all while learning—the tricks of the trade—from some of the best cinematographers in the business. Those experiences have aided his development into the artist that he is today. His films have played a variety of festivals including: Vancouver, Starz Denver, San Diego, Detroit-Windsor, Hollyshorts, Miami Shorts Fest, and New York Television Festival to name a few.

-Dustin was born in San Diego, CA, but he and his family left shortly thereafter
-His family moved a few more times before settling in Lexington, MA for middle and high school

-Dustin grew up on a hearty diet of MTV (remember when they only played videos?). He not only developed a love for music videos, but also wanted to be a rock star. He started guitar lessons at 9, was First Chair Trumpet in middle school, and taught himself how to play the drums in high school

-He started production on his first feature film, Who Shot Mamba?, in 2007 at the tender age of 25
